JAM ANTIK C0104
This clock was made by the famous German clockmaker Winterhalder & Hoffmeier (W&H) and dates from around 1890-1900. The case is solid solid Mahogany. The dial surround is of silvered brass with engraved numerals. On each corner of the rectangular dial face is a patterned spandrel of gilded bronze. The dial is protected by a glass door. The case is in excellent condition for its age although there are some minor age marks on the dial center circle. They are only really visible when close up. The 8 day movement is in superb condition having been recently fully restored to function nearly in as-new condition. New mainsprings imported from Europe were fitted. This clock has a “ting-tang” movement. That means that in additional to striking the hours, the quarter hours are announced with a “ting-tang” sounds from two gongs.
