JAM ANTIK C0105
This French striated pink marble portico clock was made around 1880-1890. The movement is contained in a polished brass tube supported by four marble pillars on a half round marble base. Above the movement is a representation of an urn in marble with cast brass decoration. Below is cast brass decoration depicting hanging banners or flags on crossed poles. A common military theme at that time. The dial is of white enamel with hanging swathes of painted flowers between the numerals. The pendulum is a “sunburst” type. The good quality 8 day movement has been fully restored and new mainsprings fitted.
